Rescued Fish

Here are some of the fish we have rescued and have available for adoption. Check back daily as rescues come in at any time. Once acclimated to their temporary home and healthy, I will post a picture of the new arrivals. There is a small adoption fee to help cover the expenses relating to the rescue. The price posted is per fish unless otherwise specified. (example: Oscar and Paulie)

Finned Friends and KARS does not charge or ask for any monetary donations for driving to pick up any unwanted aquatics. There is a great expense of time, gas and supplies to house an unwanted aquatic. If you would like to donate to help with the cost of a living creature that people find to be readily disposable, any little bit will help. Thank you for helping my effort to save these aquatics. 	Oscar Albino Oscar Oscar is one of my first rescues. He did find a home once but became very depressed and laid around allowing himself to be attacked. He refused to eat and I got a call to come get him. Within an hour he was back to his old feisty self. He missed me. I really would like to see him go to a huge tank where he can be happy. 	Goldfish Pondfish Two nice size comet goldfish. They would like a pond for their new home! ADOPTED See larger
	Pacu South American Fish Vegetarian. Pacu's get huge. ADOPTED See larger
	Frontosa Cichlid Very healthy. Wonderful personality. ADOPTED See larger
	HardHead Sea Catfish Saltwater Saltwater catfish. There are three of them. POISONOUS....handle with care. Eating freeze dried Krill. Very healthy and active. ADOPTED See larger
	Blood Parrot Cichlid Very healthy, eats everything. ADOPTED See larger
	Giant Danio Peaceful Community fish. Very active and healthy. Already over 3 inches long. ADOPTED See larger
	Iridescent Shark Catfish Community Beautiful pure black shark. About 8 inches. Very healthy and beautiful. Great personality. Will do well with other larger community fish. He currently lives with a silver dollar. ADOPTED See larger
	Silver Dollar Community Large Silver Dollar. About almost 3-4 inches in diameter. Very healthy, peaceful. Lives with the iridescent shark. ADOPTED See larger

	5 Pirahna's Aggressive Very healthy. Eats meats, pieces of ham, turkey, shrimp, hotdogs ADOPTED See larger
	Ryukin Calico Golfish Freshwater Very healthy active goldfish. Eats anything. $5.00 See larger
	Redcap Oranda Goldfish Freshwater Very healthy and active. Eats anything. $5.00 See larger

	Tilapia Cichlid Healthy, great eater. ADOPTED See larger
	Tiger Oscar Cichlid This oscar was rescued after he became extremely beat up. He is very active, eats well and is being treated for his wounds. Not up for adoption yet, but once healed he will be looking for a forever home. He has a wonderful personality. ADOPTED See larger
	Green Severum Cichlid Larger Severum. Eats well, healthy. A bit timid until he knows you. Was picked on by a larger oscar. No wounds, but a bit shy. ADOPTED See larger
	Pink Convict Pair Cichlid Mated pair pink convicts. Have fry available too. Convicts are excellent parents but will breed a lot. Very healthy, eat anything. $6.00 See larger
	Painted Parrotfish Pair Cichlid Proven pair of Painted Parrot fish. They have had three batches of fry and currently parenting their third spawn. They are extremely healthy and eat anything. I also have fry available. $10.00 See larger
	Blood Parrot Cichlid Very large adult female Blood Parrot Cichlid. Has laid eggs, so I'm sure it's a she. $15.00 See larger

	Midas Cichlid Large Midas Cichlid. Approx. 10 inches. I believe he is a male. Gets territorial. Very healthy and eats anything. $20.00 See larger
	Scat Freshwater Large Scat (grew up in freshwater with a bit of salt), can be converted to Brackish as well. I believe it is a male. Very healthy eating pellets. $20.00 See larger
	Leaf Fish Cichlid Two nice size Leaf Fish (or known as Bush Fish). Are known to eat what they can stalk. So no small fish. Extremely healthy and eating pellets. They are great buddies, hang together all the time. So selling them as a pair. $20.00 See larger
	Rainbow Shark Aggressive Large Rainbow Shark. Currently being housed with the Scat and Leaf Fish. Not good for community tank as they can become aggressive. Eats anything, very healthy. $5.00 See larger
	Pleco Algae Eater Large 10-12 inch Common Pleco. Very hardy and healthy. $10.00 See larger
	Pacu Red Belly Enormous Red Belly Pacu. Came in and was very much loved by his owner. Being too big for the tank, Pacu's normally are one of the most common fish that are killed or let go in the wild. Lack of knowledge of these wonderful fish make them one on the highest rescues.
